Damage to wooden items

One sign of termite infestation is wood damage. One way to check if a wood is damaged is to tap it. If it sounds hollow, it means that termites has been through there before.

Mud tubes

Termites build mud tubes structure as a passageway. These mud tubes also provide suitable condition for them to live in. If you seen mud tubes along the walls of your home or furniture, your house might be infested with termites. Another way to confirm it is to break off a small piece of the mud tubes and see if any termite comes out.

Termite droppings

Termite droppings are small brown pellets and are usually found in a pile. They can also be found on the floor near wooden furnitures that are infested with termites.

Discarded wings

Alates are termites that have wings, they are also the future king and queen of a new colony. Alates will discard their wings once they found a suitable place to live in. So if you see any discarded wings on the ground, it means that there are termites who is interested in your place.
